Promoting Youth SUCCESS

This past month we held our annual Promotion Day, a day-long celebration of our youth’s academic achievements. Our L.L.E.A.C. (Life-Long Educational Advancement for Children) program hosts this year-end Promotion Day every June since 2017 to honor students advancing to the next grade. Over 70 community members from infants to adults joined us this year for fun and fellowship. We served hot dogs, burgers, pizza, chips and more, and raffled off prizes to keep the excitement high. Guests enjoyed music, games, and the positive energy of coming together. Promotion Day reaffirms our belief that “education is justice” every milestone matters, and we’ll keep building, rising, and supporting our youth no matter how hot the day gets.

This event would not be possible without our amazing volunteers. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped make Promotion Day a success. Your time and generosity helped turn up the fun and recognize our young people!

Rebuilding With Love – Donate to Our Community Center

Our Rebuilding With Love campaign is dedicated to renovating the DSL community center into “a beacon of hope” for Philadelphia. The center will serve families year-round, hosting programs like Brick by Brick and L.L.E.A.C. We need your help to make this vision a reality.  Every dollar you contribute fuels our mission. • Donate: Give any amount online (even $5–$500 makes a difference). Visit our website and click Donate to fund construction materials, utilities, and educational spaces.

• Sponsor a space: For a larger gift, consider sponsoring a room or floor in the new center (starting at $1,000). Sponsors are recognized with a commemorative plaque to honor your contribution.

• Volunteer or spread the word: Help at fundraisers, share our campaign on social media, or rally friends and family. Your involvement inspires others to join our cause.
